About Greg Wills

Personal and Professional Background: I attended undergraduate school at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia on an Army ROTC scholarship and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Thereafter, I was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and served four years as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in an Armored Cavalry Troop as part of the recon squadron for the 3rd Infantry Division in Schweinfurt, Germany. I was honorably discharged from active duty as a Captain in the Army Reserve in June, 1990 and returned to my parent’s home in Dare County.

Shortly thereafter, I applied and received a scholarship to attend the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University. I graduated from law school in 1994 and started a law practice in Dare County in September of that year. Since then, I have focused my law practice on civil litigation. I have tried state court cases to juries in Dare, Pasquotank, Currituck, Wilkes, Forsyth, and Alexander Counties. I have tried Federal Court cases to juries in Wilmington and Greeneville and handled numerous appeals in both state and federal court. I have represented hundreds of clients in hearings before the North Carolina Industrial commission and regularly handle appeals to the full commission in Raleigh. I am licensed to practice law in all North Carolina State courts and the Federal Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina as well as the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. I truly enjoy the excitement and challenge of court room litigation.

Family and Community: My wife, Stephanie, and I live in Southern Shores with our two boys. I am an active member of the Duck United Methodist Church and have served in various leadership positions and church committees since 2003. I have coached both of my son’s baseball teams and served as a member of the Outer Banks Babe Ruth Board of Directors for the past 4 years. I love to surf, sail and fish. I love being part of this community and truly believe that the Outer Banks of North Carolina is the greatest place on earth to live and raise a family.
